Program:
Your Aswan tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation and take you on an Aswan day trip to the Temple of Kom Ombo, which stands high above the Nile. It distinguishes from other temples in that it has two entrances, one for each divinity: “Haroeris” with his falcon head and “Sobek” with his crocodile head.
The Temple of Kom Ombo was erected in honour of two deities: Sobek, the crocodile-headed fertility deity and creator of the universe, and Haroeris, the old falcon-headed Horus, Then, by road, to Edfu to see the magnificent temple devoted to Horus, which is often regarded as Egypt’s greatest surviving cult structure.It was the location where the falcon-headed deity Horus killed Seth in retaliation for the death of his father Osiris. Later, return to Aswan or be dropped off at your Luxor hotel.
