Starting from Sharm El Sheikh Visiting St. Catherine monastery which located between the St. Catherine’s mounts and Moses Mountain also it is considered the most important religious site in Sinai, where God spoke to the Prophet Moses on this land.
Program of Catherine monastery :
We will pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and transfer you to St. Catherine to visit the St. Catherine Monastery. This monastery, located 220 km northwest of Sharm El Sheikh between St. Catherine’s Mount and Mount Moses, is one of the oldest Christian monasteries in the world.
Furthermore, the monastery is an Orthodox Greek establishment with remarkable walls that enclose a citadel rich in both religious and historical significance. Notably, among its treasures is the Museum of St. Catherine. This museum houses icons attributed to Angelos, a renowned 15th-century artist. Additionally, it features six icons by Michael Damaskenos, which are significant works of the 16th-century Cretan School.
After exploring the monastery,
we will proceed to Dahab, known as the Flower Power City on the Red Sea. There, you can enjoy a city tour and go shopping. Moreover, you will have lunch at a local restaurant before we drive you back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.
